Wearable technologies are becoming increasingly popular in the consumer market, and they hold great promise for healthcare delivery. They are also potentially significant in the nation’s quest to reduce health disparities and improve health equity. This session will examine how one such technology, Juxtopia Imhotep Open Wear Platform, could impact the diagnoses and management of chronic diseases among vulnerable populations, such as populations served by Maryand’s Health Empowerment Zones (HEZ).
Session Objectives: Discuss how wearable technology may be used to decrease disparities. Describe the Juxtopia® Imhotep Open-Wear platform and its capability for developing low-cost, easy to use, and easily accessible wearable telehealth.
